U.S. demographics are changing significantly as the baby boomers – those born between 1946 and 1964 – represent an increasingly larger portion of the U.S. population. The number of U.S. seniors ages 65 and older will more than double by 2060. Higher education levels, more work experience, and greater economic security are positive trends for the 65+ baby boomer market, while increased levels of divorce, fewer children, and accelerating obesity trends present social challenges.
